Various telegram channels and social media users have been posting videos of a large fire and explosions in the last hour in the city of Shakhtyorsk, which is located east of Donetsk, about 50 km from the front line..
They write from Shakhtersk that the local authorities organized the evacuation of residents of the 7th microdistrict and the Zhuravlevka microdistrict - this is the southern outskirts of the city.
It all looks like a fire at an ammunition depot, and some users write that it was the Ukrainian armed forces that launched another strike on the depot behind enemy lines.. However, accurate and unambiguous information on this subject is not yet available..
In the past two weeks, the Ukrainians have carried out several attacks on rear ammunition depots and other targets behind Russian lines.. Experts suggest that this is the result of the use of high-precision and long-range HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems received from the United States and other countries..
