Law enforcement authorities detained on a bribe the senior security officer for particularly important cases of one of the departments of the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Nikolaev region.
According to preliminary information, the senior security officer demanded 2 thousand. dollars and 10 tons of grain from the co-owner of the farm. In return, the law enforcement officer promised not to prosecute the entrepreneur for unauthorized seizure of the land.
On May 19, an SBU operative was detained while receiving $ 2,000 in accordance with Article. 208 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
Now the issue of informing the detainee about suspicion, choosing a preventive measure against him in the form of detention in custody and removing him from his position is being decided. In case of proof of guilt, the detainee faces a sentence of imprisonment for a term of 5 to 10 years.
