SBU employees conduct numerous searches in structural divisions of Kyivmetrostroy OJSC, officials, as well as branches of JSB Ukrgasbank and a number of private structures. According to the Office of the Attorney General, the subjects are probably involved in the scheme of fraudulent seizure of budget funds, including the fact of unjustified placement of UAH 1.7 billion allocated for metro construction on deposit accounts.

On January 16, 2020, at the request of the Office of the Prosecutor General, an investigator judge of the Pechersky district court of Kiev seized money in the bank accounts of Kievmetrostroy OJSC and its separate divisions as part of criminal proceedings to prevent fraudulent seizure of budget funds by Kievmetrostroy OJSC officials and controlled by the management of PJSC Kievmetrostroy.
Pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings continues.
