During the service, the border guard of the department "Ovruch" discovered a man without documents who, bypassing the checkpoint, tried to break the state border with neighboring Belarus. The man explained the lack of documents by their loss, and the movement towards the state border - the desire to enter the territory of the Russian Federation.

In the course of further clarification of the circumstances and the carrying out of verification activities by operational officers of the Northern Regional Office, it was established that the detainee is a citizen of Ukraine, resident of Zhmerenka and is in the all-Ukrainian wanted list. The law enforcement agencies have been searching for the attacker since the beginning of August this year for escaping from the correctional colony where he was behind robbery and was sentenced to 4 years in prison.

Now the person is brought to administrative responsibility for an attempt to violate the state border and transferred to the employees of the National Police in the Zhytomyr region.
