Last night, border guards of the Mukachevo detachment prevented an attempt to illegally move a large shipment of tobacco products to Hungary.

As reported in the State Border Service, the border patrol of the mobile border post "Mukachevo" while patrolling nearby. The Great Paladin noticed a tractor with a trailer moving toward the border. When trying to verify the legality of staying in the border zone of this vehicle, the tractor driver made a sharp turn and started running.

The servicemen began to catch up with the fugitive and carried out several warning shots upwards.

However, the driver continued to drive at high speed. During the pursuit, the trailer turned into a ditch. The driver himself, having unhooked him ran away. On the trailer law enforcement officers found 36 boxes of cigarettes.

Boxes in which there were more than 18 000 packs of cigarettes of different brands were delivered to the department of the border service "Veliki Palad". Subsequently, tobacco products will be transferred to GFS staff. Now the search for the fugitive is continuing.
