In the capital, a taxi driver, under the influence of narcotic drugs, got into a traffic accident, his passenger died.

This was reported by the press service of the Metropolitan Police.

The incident occurred on the night of August 17 on Les Kurbas Avenue in Kiev.

Law enforcers found that the 37-year-old driver of the Opel Astra did not manage the vehicle and went outside the carriageway where he encountered a concrete fence.

"As a result of the accident, a passenger - a 41-year-old resident of the Chernihiv region - died of bodily injuries in an ambulance," the police said..

Law enforcers detained the driver.

They note that he refused to take the analysis for the content of alcohol and drugs, but, according to the preliminary conclusion of the narcologist, the man was under the influence of narcotic drugs.
