The incident, which occurred shortly before noon, probably led to the destruction of the viaduct's construction over the Polsevera River and one of the most densely populated areas of the city.

At the moment, two teams of civil protection, specializing in excavations under the rubble, will soon arrive Genoa from Piedmont and Lombardy. Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte is also heading to the capital of the Liguria region today, where he intends to stay until Wednesday.
