As the vice-president of Lanit, Vladimir Gribov, told Kommersant, Gens died on the morning of April 30 in Kamchatka, where he went skiing.

"According to preliminary information from doctors who arrived at the site, this is a thrombus," said Gribov.

Founded in 1989, Lanit is one of the oldest Russian IT holdings. It unites companies in the field of system and network integration, IT-distribution, consulting, outsourcing and software development. At the end of 2016, "Lanit" ranked third in the ranking of the largest Russian IT companies.

Gens, who was the owner of "Lanita", Forbes magazine included among the 200 richest entrepreneurs in Russia with a fortune of $ 700 million.
