On April 28, an anti-submarine airplane Il-38 of the Indian Air Force made an emergency landing at the Zhukovsky airport near Moscow. Landing was carried out with an unreachable front landing gear.
The airport was preparing for the worst: about the runway the plane was waiting for emergency service cars. Pilot-pilots-testers of the corporation "Ilyushin" flew several circles over the airfield in order to develop fuel and thereby reduce the risk of a fire hazard situation.
The pilots have done everything to keep the board on the main landing gear as long as possible. And only in the last seconds the car smoothly lay down on the foam-filled runway. According to experts, the cabin has received minimal damage, the car will be restored. And all this thanks to the highly professional actions of the crew. There are no injured persons on board. Meanwhile in the plane were from seven to eleven people - the crew of the aircraft and technical specialists. The crew of the aircraft will be presented to government awards.
