On Thursday, February 22, FSB officers detained a native of Central Asia who was preparing terrorist acts in St. Petersburg. The department specified that he wanted to arrange explosions at the objects of transport infrastructure and in places of mass congestion of citizens. His identity was not disclosed. On other details it is not known, transfers RIA Novosti news agency. In December, the FSB also prevented a terrorist attack in St. Petersburg, arresting several people. They wanted to organize a slaughter in the Kazan Cathedral. In April 2017 in the metro of the northern capital there was an explosion.
As a result, 15 people died and about 100 were injured. At the same time, the suspects complained of torture by their employees.
