Between the two detachments a firefight ensued, police and doctors arrived in the place.

It is noteworthy that the sheep remained intact and not injurious.

As a result of the shootout, 36 people were killed, 18 bodies were found by the police upon arrival at the scene of the crime. The eyewitnesses of the incident claim that the bandits carried away half the corpses with them.
