The rain went on all night. As a result of the disaster several parts of the city were completely flooded with water.

Flooding provoked many kilometers of congestion on the roads at rush hour. The cars stood in the center of Bangkok, as well as on the western, eastern and northern outskirts of the city.

At the same time weather forecasters reported that overnight fell about 25 centimeters of precipitation.
