The corresponding document of the deputies of both chambers of the parliament voted unanimously on Wednesday, September 20, Ukrinform reports.. "The Parliament calls for an early settlement of the situation, in the spirit of cooperation and constructive dialogue and in compliance with European standards for the protection of national minorities, as well as provisions of multilateral and bilateral agreements, of which Ukraine is a part," the declaration says.. According to the document, the Romanian parliamentarians "with concern and special attention" follow the developments after the Verkhovna Rada adopted the law "On Education", which "restricts the right to education in the native language for ethnic Romanians living in Ukraine, which causes deep concern in Romania". The Romanian Parliament also draws attention to the fact that "the European standards for the protection of national minorities, in particular about 400 thousand Romanians living in Ukraine, is the foundation of democratic reforms, without which it is impossible to advance on the path of European integration". Four countries will complain about Ukraine to the OSCE It is noted that in the near future a group of Romanian parliamentarians will arrive in Ukraine to discuss ways to resolve the situation with the Ukrainian authorities.

"The Romanian Parliament confirms the support of the European policy of Ukraine and expresses the hope that all international standards for the protection of national minorities will be observed in this process," reads the document. Recall, on September 19, Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andrei Parubiy handed over the law on education for signature to the president.
