British hospitals operating under the auspices of the National Health Service were attacked by hackers: some hospitals limited the admission of patients.

This is reported by the BBC.

In medical institutions in London, Nottingham, Cumbria and Hertfordshire there was a technical failure: in hospitals, telephones and computers stopped working.

The doctors had to return "to the pen and paper".

In connection with the attack, at least 16 hospitals limited the admission of patients whose health problems are not urgent.

At the same time, a member of the UK Department of Health said that a message appeared on infected devices requiring a ransom to resume work.

As reported by the "Observer", on May 5, hackers broke the mail of the Macron headquarters, as a result of which a massive data leak occurred. A similar situation occurred with the correspondence of the US Democratic Party before the election of the President of the country. Later it became known that the attacks on the headquarters of Macron and Clinton were made by the same Russian hackers.
