Rada adopted a bill to postpone the law on criminal misconduct

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted as a basis and as a whole draft law No. 2155 on the postponement of the entry into force of the law on criminal misconduct. The corresponding decision was supported by 328 deputies of Ukraine, reports UNN.

Draft Law No.

2155 on Amendments to Section II “Transitional Provisions” of the Law of Ukraine “On Amending Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning the Simplification of Pre-trial Investigation of Certain Categories of Criminal Offenses” dated November 22, 2018. No. 2617-VIII “(regarding postponement of entry into force) provides for strengthening compliance with the rule of law, eliminating the risks of enforcement.

So, the law “On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine regarding the simplification of the pre-trial investigation of certain categories of criminal offenses” should come into force on January 1, 2020, and the bill provides for a delay in entry into force until July 1, 2020.
