"Everyone who wants to stop decentralization, I emphasize once again - it will not work!" - wrote on his page in the social network the Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groysman:.

Volodymyr Groysman As NV notes, at a meeting on August 16 the CEC made changes in the procedure for appointing the first elections in the OGG, expanding the time opportunities for their appointment. The CEC, as before, will be able to appoint elections not later than seventy days before the day of such elections, as a rule, on the last Sunday in April, the last Sunday in October, any Sunday in December, except for the last. The CEC allowed itself, as an exception, to appoint the first local elections for a different date.

At a meeting on August 9, the Central Election Commission adopted a resolution, which actually suspended consideration of the issue of appointing the first and additional local elections in the joint territorial communities.

In its decision, the CEC refers to the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legal Policy and Justice with a request to provide explanations regarding the legislative regulation of the organization and the procedure for holding referendums in Ukraine, as well as the possibility of appointing the first and additional local elections in the OGG without holding a local referendum.

The appointment of elections is the final stage in the formation of communities.
