The blocking of elections by the Central Election Commission in the newly unified territorial communities will be the impetus for the renewal of its membership. "I am sure that the Verkhovna Rada will react to this shameful demarche, finally renewing the composition of the CEC. The Central Election Commission should not impede, but support reforms in Ukraine, ensuring elections are lawful. Neither the society nor the expert environment supports the existing composition of the CEC, "the head of the faction.

"The Constitutional Court overturned the law on the referendum in April this year. According to the current logic of the CEC, it turns out that all elections, appointed from this time, are illegal? When members of the commission were sincere: when did such elections take place, or now? ", - said Maxim Burbak.

He noted that the parliament in the formation of the CEC must comply with the PACE resolution on the representation of all factions of the Parliament in the CEC.

"We must wait for the first plenary week, which will begin on September 3, to finally update the composition of the commission. The new composition of the CEC should include representatives of all factions and deputy groups of the current Verkhovna Rada. And this coincides with the PACE resolution, "said Maxim Burbak.
