The top of the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah published in its "Telegram" channel a message stating that the accounts of this organization in social networks "Twitter" and "Facebook" were blocked last night, notes Channel 9.

In Hezbollah it was announced that this happened "without prior notice" and declared these actions "steps against the agitation work of the resistance forces". About resistance to what exactly is a question, in "Hezbollah" they did not specify.

Apparently, the simultaneous blocking of accounts in the largest networks has been coordinated, however neither Twitter nor Facebook comment on the actions taken.

Hezbollah is considered a terrorist organization both in Lebanon's neighboring Israel, and in more remote countries - the United States, Britain, the Netherlands, Canada, Australia. It is also prohibited in Egypt as a radical Islamist group, cooperating with the "Muslim Brotherhood".

At the same time, Hezbollah, which enjoys political influence in Lebanon, receiving support from Iran and Syria, has its own newspapers, websites, radio stations and television. Therefore, the blocking of its accounts in two American social networks can hardly be called a strong information attack - in the Arab world these social networks are not so widespread as in the West.

Ten days ago, Interior Minister Gilad Erdan threatened to set up criminal cases in Israel for the administration of Twitter for violation of Israeli law because of "connivance" to the accounts of organizations recognized as terrorist in Israel.
