General mobilization and martial law continue in Ukraine. During this period, as in times of peace, citizens liable for military service must comply with certain rules of military registration. An officer of the Vinnytsia Regional TCC and SP, Lieutenant Colonel Maxim Leshchuk, told Suspilny where military registration documents can be checked, and what happens if the data does not match.

Leshchuk noted that verification of military registration documents can be carried out:.

at place of residence;

At work;

in public places;

in public buildings;

at checkpoints;

at state border crossing points.

He added that at the place of residence, representatives of local government bodies can also be involved in the notification process.

Leshchuk emphasized that alert groups may include:.

TCC representatives;

police officers;

representatives of district administrations;

local government representatives.

According to him, during the check they find out whether the person is registered with the military and whether his data corresponds to the information from the register.

“If it turns out that a person has the status of a violator of military registration rules, or there is a discrepancy between his credentials in a paper document (after all, in an electronic document they, in principle, should already be clarified and synchronized with the register that we see in our country), then this is the basis for serving a summons and escorting the citizen to the territorial center to clarify the information,” he said.

The TCC representative added that if discrepancies are identified between the documents and the registry data, the person may be served with a subpoena to clarify military registration data.

" These are all different types of agendas that have different purposes.. This situation arises, for example, if the data in paper documents does not correspond to the information in the register,” he concluded.
