Director of the Ukrhydrometcenter Mykola Kulbida told what this winter will be like. According to him, the probability of a cold winter is negligible..

" Such a probability for Ukraine is scanty. All winters we have temperatures above normal. Frosty periods are not excluded, perhaps even strong. But they will be short and will not affect the general period of winter," ua.

According to the forecaster, over the past 25 years, the average temperature in January-February in Ukraine has increased by 2-2.5 degrees, the duration of the winter period has decreased. However, according to Kulbida, there will be no comfortable cool summer in Ukraine either, since the average temperature in July-August in Ukraine has increased by 2.5-2.8 degrees, and the number of days with a temperature of +30 degrees and above has doubled.

Kulbida also said that synoptic observations in the occupied regions are not carried out, because metrological stations and equipment were damaged due to hostilities. However, forecasting the weather in all territories, including those temporarily occupied, is helped by information received by weather forecasters from satellites..
