Richard Russell from the Department of Psychology of Gettysburg College (USA) conducted an experiment together with researchers from Chanel Fragrance & Beauty Research & Innovation.

The scientists found out that if you are young, makeup will surely add to you the age.

But if you are thirty years old or more, the probability that skillfully applied makeup will "brighten up" you a couple of years higher every year, recorded in your passport.

The study involved 32 women of different ages (from twenty to sixty years old). First, everyone was photographed without make-up, and then - with him, and asked respondents to guess the age of women in the photo.

As a result, it turned out that 50-year-old women on average look a year and a half younger than their age, and 20-year-olds look a year and four months older.
