The technique developed by the American scientists, probably, will lead to that the diseases connected with surplus of fat, including illnesses of aorta, will be treated by high-intensity beams.

Acne (acne), cellulite and excess fat disappear with a single click of the switch? This may seem like a fantastic dream for teenagers and middle-aged people, but scientists have developed a laser technique that can find and melt the subcutaneous fat.

A group of scientists uses a device called a free-electron laser (FEL) capable of creating special rays that heat and destroy fat without damaging other body tissues.

This breakthrough opens the way for the use of the laser in the treatment of various diseases, including lipid formations associated with aortic diseases, cellulite and acne.

Rox Anderson, a dermatologist from the hospital in Massachusetts, led the experiment, which used pork fat and skin samples with a thickness of about five centimeters. According to him, the results confirmed the principle of heating tissues with light.

The success of the study, which was conducted with the support of the US Department of Energy, could foreshadow the possibility of treating acne with a laser after a few years.

Such a condition as cellulite can not be corrected by a variety of methods of combating it.

There are doubts about the most effective remedy for acne called Accutane and its possible association with congenital defects in children whose mothers used this drug during pregnancy.

Cellulite - deposits of subcutaneous fat and fibrous tissue that cause ripples on the surface layer of the skin - and other surface fat can be attacked in the same way as fat plates that form in the arteries and lead to heart attacks, Anderson said.. "You can imagine a laser looking for fat, and we are paving the way for it".
