The use of green tea has a protective effect on the body and acts as a means of preventing lung cancer, experts from the University of Taiwan.

Scientists conducted a study in which 500 people took part. Among the participants were smokers and people who never smoked. It turned out that those subjects who consumed even one cup of green tea a day were significantly less at risk of lung cancer than those who did not drink green tea.

The protective effect was extended to all participants, regardless of whether they smoked or not.

The greatest protective effect was found by the participants in the experiment, who were carriers of certain genes. However, despite the protective properties of green tea, it is important to remember the harmful effects of nicotine on health. Smoking increases the risk of lung cancer, even with the use of various preventive measures against this disease, experts stressed..
