HTC recorded the largest decline in smartphone sales over the past two years. Analysts took a disappointing verdict - Taiwanese brand almost died.
The decline in sales was 68%. In monetary terms, monthly revenue in June was approximately $ 72 million, compared to about $ 7 billion in June 2017.
Experts explain this state of affairs by several factors. Firstly, in the segment of top-tier smartphones, the demand for HTC devices turned out to be lower than the company's expectations. Now it is obvious that the last flagship of U12 +, for which the Taiwanese brand had its main hopes, did not become a hit.
Secondly, HTC now does not have devices in the middle and low price segments, which would stand out sharply against the background of smartphones from other manufacturers.
