After the match Dynamo - Epicenter, forward of the Kiev team Andriy Yarmolenko commented on the victory of his team and spoke about the special achievement.
The very 36-year-old winger has a crooked rakhunok at the sustricha, who scored on the 42nd line. This goal became Yarmolenko’s 124th in the Ukrainian Championships, which is why it repeated Maxim Shatskikh’s record and now shares first place in the historical ranking of UPL scorers.
However, the football player himself did not pay special respect to the special achievement. According to Yarmolenko, the team victory is very important for him, even before Dynamo lost points in the championship.
" We played to zero, for that sake. And those who are willing to come - I have no doubt about it. The most important thing is not to give up, don’t lower your head,” Yarmolenko said.
The winger also predicted the previous match against LNZ, in which they could not score, regardless of the great number of moments.
Zokrema, Yarmolenko himself was also not caught at the empty gate from a nearby distance.
“Since there were enough chances in the front game against LNZ, I don’t know how it would have been possible not to score if I hadn’t missed an empty goal a meter away,” the player added.
After defeating Epicenter, Dynamo scored 10 points and is in fourth place in the UPL standings. Now Yarmolenko has a chance to become the single greatest scorer in the history of the Ukrainian Championship if he scores the offensive goal.
