Despite the total ball battle, the champions’ attack looked toothless. Schalke goalkeeper Loris Karius became the real evil genius for Bayern. He not only neutralized Dias, but also made a dazzling save with his fingertips, snatching the ball from the top nine after a shot from Kane, who was the best substitute.

The appearance on the field of Olize and Jamal Musiali (who played for the first time in the season after problems with his health) 35 minutes before the end of the game did not help to break through the compact and disciplined defense of the Gospodars.
