Flamengo announced the signing of a one-year contract with goalkeeper Julio Cesar.

The 38-year-old Brazilian became a free agent in November 2017 after he broke the contract with Benfica.

It was reported that Cesar could end his playing career, but eventually he decided to return to Flamengo, for the first team which had already played from 1998 to 2005. In addition, he was engaged in the Academy of "red-black" from 1991 to 1997.
