Former midfielder Roma Damiano Tommasi dropped out of the fight for the post of president of the Italian Football Federation.

After three rounds of presidential elections in the Italian Football Federation, ex-midfielder Roma Damiano Tommasi dropped out of the race.

Tommasi scored the lowest number of votes following the results of the first three rounds of voting and out of the struggle for the post of president of the Italian Football Federation, which will be continued by the president of the professional league Gabriela Gravina and the chief of the Amateur league Cosimo Sibilia.

Since none of the candidates could overcome the 50% threshold of the votes, a fourth round of elections is to be held, in which the victory will be given to the one who will gain a greater number of votes. In case of equality, the president will be announced by a special commission.

Tommasi spent ten years as part of Roma and spent 262 matches (14 goals) in Serie A for the "wolves". For the national team of Italy Damiano played 25 matches (2 goals).
