UEFA can exclude Lyon from European competition because of the behavior of the fans in the match of the semi-finals of the Europa League against Ajax.

UEFA announced the opening of a disciplinary case against Lyon because of the behavior of fans in the home match of the 1/2 finals of the Europa League against Ajax.

UEFA accuses Lyon of four counts:

ignition of fire-fighters, throwing items on the field, people entering the field and blocking stairways.

Earlier, Lyon had already been charged for three of these four points, and UEFA threatened to exclude the French club from European competition in the event of a repeat of the riots.

In addition, the charges were put forward in the direction of Ajax for the damage that the fans inflicted on the stadium.

The UEFA Disciplinary Committee will consider these cases on July 20.
