The captain of the Ukrainian national biathlon team Dmitry Pidruchny said that he might not start in the last men's race at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing - the mass start.

The 30-year-old leader of the Ukrainian team stated this after the men's relay race, which took place on February 15. The Ukrainians finished ninth in it with four penalties.

\? Of course, I want to show myself, but every race is getting harder and harder, especially on the track.. I don't even know what to say about the mass start. Honestly, there are such thoughts in my head that I might have to skip it.

Mentally it was hard to fight. I tried to take risks, at least to win back something: lying down, it turned out: quickly, with a penny.

And on the " I won back one position, but it was not worth it, maybe, to take such a risk. It was also not easy on the track - from the first lap I tried to win back a little, I don’t know how it turned out in time. In addition, I didn’t see anyone much, so in terms of psychology, it was a difficult race: you can’t do anything, but you want to,"

Mass start men's race will take place on Friday, February 18. Start - at 11:00 Kyiv time. In addition to Pidruchny, another Ukrainian Artem Prima won the right to compete in the mass start.
