Tennis player Serena Williams did not take an unplanned doping test and complained that she was taking too many samples. The article about the incident was published on the portal Deadspin. Two weeks ago, on June 14, an officer of the US Anti-Doping Agency - USADA - at 8. 30 am did not find Williams at home in her residence in Florida and said that she wants to wait for her. The tennis player refused to return and did not take the doping test. USADA officials believe that the sudden check of Williams is not something extraordinary, because the organization can check athletes an unlimited number of times. In turn, representatives of Williams said that the tennis player is checked 4 times more often than others, and that this year she had already taken 5 samples. At the same time, the publication stresses that the unsuccessful doping test will not be a violation. The athlete has the right twice a year to refuse such sudden checks.

What a contrast to the history of Russian Maria Sharapova, who was disqualified for a year because of the use of harmless meldonia! In January of this year, Serena again began performing after an annual break, related to the birth of her daughter. Now the former first racket of the world takes 138th place in the WTA rating. On Monday, July 2, in Britain starts the Wimbledon tournament - one of the most prestigious in the series "Grand Slam". Williams will perform on it in singles and doubles.
