Ukrainian team won 5 awards on the ninth day of the World Universiade.

At once two athletes climbed on the podium in high jumps. Oksana Okuneva with a result of 1.97 meters won the "gold", and Irina Gerashchenko "jumped" at 1.91 and became a silver medalist.

The rhythmic gymnastics team of Ukraine became the first in the team competition. The team consisting of: Marina Makarova, Valeriya Gudym, Darya Sych, Anastasia Podrushnyak and Alina Bikhno received 33.550 points from the judges, ahead of the teams of Taiwan and Russia.

In the competition for Wushu Ilona Olhovik won the "bronze" in weight to 60 kg. Also, the women's volleyball team won the bronze medal.

Thus, Ukraine already has 33 medals (12 gold, 10 silver and 11 bronze) and climbed one line in the standings. Our team is now on the 6th place in the overall standings.

Let's note, at the Universiade our country is represented by 179 sportsmen. Competitions are held from 19 to 30 August in Taiwan's Taipei.
