In the Terebovlya community in the Ternopil region, a world record for cooking bograch was set - they cooked 3 tons 140 liters of this dish. Previously, the record for preparing bograch belonged to Transcarpathia, where 2 tons 850 liters were prepared in 2015.

This was reported by Suspilna Ternopil. Hundreds of kilograms of meat and vegetables were needed for the preparation; more than 20 people helped in preparing the ingredients.

The initiator of setting the record was Andrey Balabukh. According to him, they have cooked in large quantities before - 300, 400, 500 liters, but they have never cooked such a quantity before. He said that the preparation of the dish took hundreds of kilograms of various meats and vegetables - potatoes, carrots, onions, peppers. “We are preparing such a portion for the first time and wanted to set such a record. We used about 600 kilograms of various meats: beef, pork, 100 kilograms of lard, 500 kilograms of potatoes, 100 kilograms of carrots, 160 onions, 100 red peppers and various ingredients, herbs. There will probably be more than seven thousand portions,” said Andrei Balabukh, the initiator of the record..

More than 20 people helped prepare ingredients for bograch. According to one of Orysia Andrievskaya’s assistants, they worked from lunch until all night.

“We worked, one might say, after lunch and all night, because we had to process and prepare a very large amount of food,” said Orysya.

The head of the National Register of Records of Ukraine, Lana Vetrova, said that previously the record for preparing bograch belonged to Transcarpathia - 2 tons 850 liters of this dish were cooked there in 2015. She emphasized that the current record is a world one, since no one in the world has prepared such a volume of bograch. And the procedure for fixing a world record is the same as for the Guinness Book of Records.

" In the Transcarpathian region a record was set in Kosino - 2 tons 850 liters. It so happened that no one in the world prepared bograch in such large quantities. The National Registry of Records records both world records and national records. A world record goes through the same procedure as in Guinness, we work in the same system with Guinness, this is filing an application, then opening a record case, collecting evidence,” noted Lana Vetrova.

To record the record, during the preparation of bograch, each ingredient was weighed and filmed, because the recipe for the dish must be classic. " Why is this being done In order for the recipe to correspond to the classic. There cannot be an expedited procedure or an expedited prescription,” noted a registry representative.

After Andrey Balabukh was presented with a certificate of setting the record “The largest volume of bograch”, the dish was treated to those present.
