Foreign Ministry does not recommend Ukrainians to travel to Tanzania, Malawi and Kenya

According to the data of the consular service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as of Thursday morning, February 22, in the Malawian provinces of Karonga, there were nine cases of the disease, in Lilongwe - 12 cases and in Nkhatabay - two cases. Also, an outbreak of cholera is detected in the Tanzanian provinces of Dodoma. Of the 53 cases, four were fatal.

In the province of Rukwa recorded 19 cases, Songwe - nine cases and Ruvuma - two cases.

In Kenya, cholera is diagnosed in Tharaka Nithi provinces - 26 cases, in Busia - 16 cases, in Meru - 14 cases, in Garissa - six cases and in Siaya - four cases. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends citizens of Ukraine who plan their trips abroad to refrain from visiting these provinces until the epidemiological situation is normalized, the message says..

However, Ukrainians who are already in these territories, recommend adhering to the recommendations of local authorities, medical and other competent services. In case of detection of the disease, you should immediately contact the medical institutions for assistance, - recall the diplomatic department.



Recall, as reported URA-Inform, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends citizens of Ukraine to refrain from traveling to Libya. The situation with safety has sharply worsened in the country. The official website of the Department for Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs that the activity of terrorist groups has become more active in Libya, as well as the number of cases of violent actions against foreign citizens, including Ukrainian citizens employed in Libya.
