The shelling was conducted from the territory of Russia around noon near the village Ushakovka. Fortunately, none of the border guards suffered.

As the press center of the headquarters of the antiterrorist operation said, it was a provocative shelling with the use of small arms in the direction of units providing protection of the state border of Ukraine. Our troops did not open fire in response, - assured the headquarters.

At the same time, the press service stressed that today's shelling from the adjacent territory grossly violates the state border regime and endangers the lives of servicemen.

If appropriate orders are received and the situation is demanded, servicemen have the right to use weapons to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine,.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, for the past day Wednesday, February 7, Russian mercenary troops and their subordinate militants 17 times fired at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a result of hostilities, one Ukrainian serviceman suffered a military trauma. The doctors provided him with the necessary assistance.
