Rev. Pankrati Pechersky is one of the most revered saints of Kievan Rus. His life and exploits have become a model of many generations of believers. There is not so much known about the life of the Monk Pankratia.

He lived in the XIII century and was a hieromonk of the Kiev-Pechersky monastery.

He spent his days in harsh austerity, prayer feat and post. During his lifetime, the Monk Pankrati became famous for the gift of healing. Many came to him for help, and he, praying and anointing them with holy oil, healed them from ailments.

The Monk Pankratia died in the Kiev Pechersk Monastery and was buried in distant caves. His relics are preserved imperishable and to this day are the place of pilgrimage of believers.
