The history of the British group Morcheeba is a fairy tale with a happy ending. DJ and instrumentalist - the brothers Paul and Ros Godfrey and the charming vocalist Sky Edwards first met at one of London's parties 22 years ago.

The trio formed at the peak of the trip-hop era. And although the big stage in those days was already divided between Massive Attack and Portishead, the newcomers managed to take a worthy place in their genre.

Style Morcheeba quickly made the band one of the most recognizable music bands of the 2000s. From then until today they create music on the verge of trip-hop and rock, skillfully combining melodies with light blues elements and the insinuating voice of vocalist Sky Edwardos.

But in every fairy tale there are dark times. Despite the success of the project, the creative differences between the Godfrey brothers and Skye led to the disintegration. Having recorded four albums and rolled back the tour in support of each of them in 2003, Edvaros leaves Morcheeba. And dividing the fans, the singer and the project continue the musical existence separately.

With guest vocalists, Godfrey's brothers recorded two albums of Morcheeba, but none of the girls could ever take Sky's place. Like many years ago, in 2009 the fate of the group is again decided by a random meeting. Having come to skip a glass of sparkling wine at a party in London, Skye meets one of Godfrey's brothers.

A few months later, Morcheeba announced that the former and most famous vocalist of the project is returning to the band. The result is the new albums Blood Like Lemonade (2010) and Head Up High (2013), even more dynamic and colorful - as if there was no pause.

In 2018 a new stage in the life of Morcheeba begins, in the spring the group prepares to present another studio album, which of course will be presented in Kiev!.
