“Boti Sobs Tsіll”: In the capital, they presented an exhibition about the leadership of women with disabilities during the war

The exhibition presents 19 photographs of Ukrainians, each of which has a powerful story-from volunteering and military experience to public activism, creative activity, sports and cash management. Through the lens of the photographer, the heroine talks about pain and losses, but the main thing in these stories is the path to strength, the support of others and self -realization.

“Boti Sobs Tsіlli” - about a sense of own value precisely here and now. These are the voices of those girls and women who do not want to be “exception to the rules”, but are the personification of the strength, dignity, visibility of all girls and women with disabilities in Ukraine, who, despite the challenges of war, realize their potential, ”said the curator of the exhibition Alexander Vovchenko.

The exhibition is designed to strengthen the voices of those whose experience is often ignored. The project is aimed at overcoming barriers and changing ideas about the role of women with disabilities in war conditions.

Anastasia Zakutyovolonterka from Akhtyrka, who began to help during the revolution of dignity. Since 2014, together with her grandmother, she supported the military, and with the beginning of a full -scale invasion, he has been traveling to de -capable territories. Despite the persuasion of relatives and military to refuse trips, continues to work for the sake of those who need help. Plans to create a public organization for the development of accessibility in the city.

Ivanna Mikhailenko -Grace and Head of OO World of Silence, who unites youth with hearing impairments. After the start of a full -scale war, it provides free legal assistance to inaudible and creates a video in a brutal language with important information for the community. Despite prejudices, she graduated from undergraduate and continues to study and active participation in public life. She was trained in human rights structures and went through the school of political participation for women with disabilities.

Maria Nikitinaruketer of the Chernivtsi Association " Before the start of a full -scale war, the organization worked with youth in crisis situations and promoted the ideas. Already on February 25, 2022, the Office of Protection turned into a shelter for IDS, which worked for more than 500 days and helped almost 1800 people. The team also supported people with disabilities and equipped other shelterers with household appliances. Still keeps in touch with many of those who have been assisted.

Alexandra Kutasmodel, entrepreneur and public figure. After the start of a full -scale war, she reoriented her activities to help Ukraine. In the UK, she works in the Charitable organization Choose Love, where he heads the direction of support for Ukrainians. Previously developed an adaptive fashion brand and built a modeling career, but the war fundamentally changed its priorities. Before that, Techfugees, which helped Ukrainian refugees also participated in the initiative.

Christina Waste -design assistant in Fight for Right. By the specialty, a psychologist, before the war, conducted classes for adolescents with disabilities and planned to continue education in the field of psychotherapy. After the invasion, I joined the team of emergency response Fight for Right as a case manager, and since 2024 has been working on project implementation and communication with partners. Considers his work important for society and grows together with the team.

Alika Mikalblogger and expert on transplantation and donation. Began public activities back in 2018, when, due to the complications of diabetes, her kidneys refused. Lack of access to transplantation in Ukraine made her openly talk about her experience - as a person with disabilities and recipients. Thanks to knowledge in SMM and marketing, it turned its own story into a tool for informing and struggle with stigma. A few days before the start of a full -scale war, she transferred the kidney transplantation, and then created the “visible people” podcast to increase the visibility of people with disabilities in society.

Returning to Ukraine, continues volunteering, helps the military, people with disabilities and homeless. Vera notes an acute problem of homelessness in Odessa and the lack of effective programs for solving it.

Anna Serputkodorka in Braille Studio, the OO Fight for Right project, which makes books available to people with visual impairments by printing Braille and a universal design. With the outbreak of full -scale war, the project team left for Europe, Anna was in Poland without the necessary equipment, which volunteers subsequently provided. Due to the lack of financing, the seal of new publications was suspended for almost a year, but continued to distribute the available books and transmitted electronic versions for Ukrainian schoolchildren in Poland.
