French authorities have detained two paintings from the collection of Morozov, which participated in the Fondation Louis Vuitton exhibition in Paris. According to Meduza, these are paintings by Pyotr Konchalovsky and Valentin Serov..

Serov's painting was presented for exhibition by the Moscow Museum of Avant-Garde Art. The president of the museum is the billionaire Vyacheslav Kantor, he is close to the president of the aggressor country Vladimir Putin. Kantor has been under EU sanctions since April 8.

The French Ministry of Culture reported that the second canvas belongs to the Dnipro Art Museum, one of the oldest museums in Ukraine.. The ministry said the painting would remain in France “until the situation in the country allows for the creation of conditions for a safe return.”.

The exhibition of works from the Morozov collection was held in Paris from September 22, 2021 to April 3, 2022.
