At the end of August the troupe will go on tour to France, to Cannes, with the performances of "Petipa Gala", "Scheherazade" H. Rimsky-Konsakov, "Chopiniana" to the music of F. Chopin and "Polovtsian Dances" (ballet fragment of Opera A. Borodin "Prince Igor"). And on September 14, the Natalia Sats Children's Musical Theater will open the 54th season with the "visiting card" - Kirill Simonov's ballet Bluebird to the music of Ilya Sats and Efrem Podgaits. In the beginning of September, the autumn session of the Academy of the ancient opera Opera Omnia, which was organized by the Natalia Sats Theater and maestro Andrew Lawrence King a year and a half ago, will be held at the theater in the beginning of September and has already become one of the most important professional educational centers for studying ancient music in Russia. This time the work of students under the guidance of Andrew Lawrence-King will be dedicated to Henry Purcell and his "King Arthur": On September 12 and 13, the students of the Academy will show the performance of this baroque opera in the Small Theater Scene. After that, the theater will premiere. In late October, George Isahakyan will present, together with the musical director and conductor Valery Platonov and the artist Ksenia Peretrukhina, the opera Claudio Monteverdi "Orpheus". The performance will be the only staging in Moscow of this masterpiece of ancient, extra music, and will take place in an unusual space. Considering that under the leadership of Isahakyan there are already quite a few new theater scenes in the Children's Musical Theater (for example, on the improvised "stage in the foyer" there are already three mini-operas for the youngest spectators, in the Painting workshop of the theater, the hall where the scenery is painted, a unique "Opera on the Gregorian cantus" by Vladimir Martynov "Exercises and dances of Guido", on the renovated Maly scene for a few years a huge and very diverse repertoire - operas, ballets, plays of mixed genres) - you can be sure: the theater and this time will surprise the audience, and a visit to the Children's Music will turn into an exciting journey. In December, before the New Year, in the theater will play "Sleeping Beauty" by Pyotr Tchaikovsky. The music director and conductor Alevtina Ioffe, the choreographer Kirill Simonov and the artist Vyacheslav Okunev. The play is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the great Russian choreographer Marius Petipa. It will not be just a story of Charles Perrault's fairy tale, and not the reconstruction of Petipa's ballet, but a story about the baroque theater, how the performance is created, how clouds are drawn on the theater sky of the bars, how the thunder machine rumbles behind the scenes and how all this invented, not real, but delightfully beautiful behind-the-scenes world, the world of picturesque scenery and ancient theatrical machinery, a real fairy tale is born on the stage, in which both adults and children believe. Another premiere on the Big Stage will be the production of an opera specially written for the young music composer Igor Kholopov, commissioned by the Natalia Sats Children's Musical Theater, a cheerful "Zveropera" based on the tales of Ivan Krylov. The musical director and conductor Sergei Mikheev, the author of the libretto Roxana Sats, the director Valery Merkulov, the artist Stepan Zohrabyan and the costume designer Sofia Zohrabyan are working on the performance.. In the second half of the season, the theater is waiting for an equally saturated life. With the advent of George Isahakyan, the theater has been actively returning to the international arena for several years already, holding international conferences, carrying out several joint projects with European companies, in 2017. received in London the European opera "Oscar" - the Opera Awars award. And in the spring of 2019.

the theater will present the next international project - choreographers Kirill Simonov and the famous premiere of Maurice Bejart's troupe Patrick de Bona will be shown on the Big Stage "Evening of one-act ballets" to the music of "La Rochelle" by Igor Stravinsky and "Tales of the Fool, Seven Jespers of Jokes" by Sergei Prokofiev. The musical director of the project is the chief conductor of the theater Alevtina Ioffe. For more information on theater performances, see www. teatr-sats. en.
