According to the daughter of the multiplier Mariana, the cause of Bob's death was acute respiratory failure.

His legendary character Bugs Bunny Givens first painted in 1940. As a basis, he took a similar character - the rabbit Bugzu, who appeared before in several cartoons Warner Bros. The studio considered that this character was "too sweet" and wished to change the appearance of the hero.

Throughout his career, Bob Givens has worked with Disney, Warner Bros and Hanna-Barbera studios.

He worked on cartoons about Tom and Jerry, Duffy and Donald Duck. Also, the animator put his hand to creating such cartoons as "Alvin and the Chipmunks" and "Sailor Papaya".

Givens continued to paint until the early 2000s. The last animated film he worked on was Timber Wolf, who appeared on the screens in 2001.
