Alice Cooper and Andy Warhol made friends in 1972, when Cooper moved to New York, says music manager Shep Gordon. Warhol was at a concert with a musician, where he had a room with an electric chair, the same as in the picture of Warhol. The picture was bought for little money, because then Warhol was not the same Andy Warhol himself.

At the moment the cost of the painting is estimated at 40 million US dollars. However, the singer refuses to sell the painting and is going to hang it at home.
