The exhibition "La mirada del otro: escenarios para la diferencia" will open on June 21, two days before the start of the main events of the World Pride, which will be held from June 23 to July 2 in the Spanish capital.
In the halls of the Prado will be presented samples of the art of homosexual artists of antiquity, the Middle Ages and the modern era, notes Spain in Russian.
In this thematic collection, homosexuality is present not only in the works of artists seen and accused in their time in homosexual orientation, such as Sandro Botticelli, but also in those works where homosexual motifs are clearly expressed, like those of Annibale Carracci, El Greco, Jose de Ribeira , Giuseppe Leonardo and many others.
Related to the exhibition in Prado, the exhibition will also be open at the University of Salamanca and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum.
