She explained that the robbers had indeed stolen the bag with the documents, but not someone from the Russians, but the driver.

Maria Zakharova clarified the situation: "In fact, the embassy of the Russian Federation sent a note to the French Foreign Ministry with a request to thoroughly investigate this case. As a result of the attack, criminals abducted the bag of the driver of this car. The driver was a woman, and she is not a Russian citizen ".

Zakharova reported that the stolen bag contained money, documents and other personal belongings of the driver.

The diplomat continued: "The forces of the employee of the Russian delegation, who was in the car, managed to neutralize the situation. Unfortunately, as a result, he received a minor injury ".

It is noted that four suspects have already been detained by the local police. Zakharova stressed: "Based on the results of the preliminary investigation, the purpose of the attack was a banal stealing of the driver's bag that was on the car seat".
