RIA Novosti reports that MPs from the Communist Party, led by faction leader Gennady Zyuganov, submitted to the State Duma a bill that sets the days off on December 31, March 18 and November 7.

The parliamentarians expressed the opinion that if December 31 becomes a non-working day, Russians will be able to "calmly prepare for the New Year's Eve" without prejudice to the work.

The authors of the project also note that the Day of the reunification of the Crimea with Russia - March 18 - a holiday for the whole people, so "he deserves to be non-working".

In addition, they consider it logical to make a day off on November 7 - Day of the Great October Socialist Revolution.

Recall that in January 2016 the State Duma rejected the bill of deputies of the LDPR on the recognition of December 31 as the official weekend. The LDPR noted that labor efficiency on this day is extremely low: people think about preparations for the New Year, but are forced to stay at work. However, serious cases are still postponed to a later time.

First Deputy Head of the LDPR faction Alexei Didenko believes that the day of the reunification of Crimea with Russia should also be made a weekend. He suggested calling the holiday the Day of the reunification of Russian lands.
