A California resident wanted to give Russia secret information

RIA Novosti reports that the US Department of Justice reported that a resident of the US state of California, Gregory Justice, wanted to sell secret satellite imagery to the Russian Federation.

According to the ministry, an American who worked under a contract with the Pentagon stole "secret information from satellites" to sell it to a man he considered "a Russian intelligence agent". It is noted that the latter in fact was an agent of the FBI "undercover".



As it became known, Justice communicated with an employee of the Bureau from February to July last year. The department said that the man wanted to get for pictures "thousands of dollars in cash". The FBI claim that the accused even offered the "scout" to visit a secret company where "military spacecraft" were manufactured ".

California residents detained in July 2016. A man faces up to 35 years in prison. The verdict will be passed in September.
