On July 14, the Verkhovna Rada, with 258 votes in favor, dismissed Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko and her Cabinet of Ministers. Instead, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Sergei Koretsky.

As Inna Vedernikova noted in the article “The First Government of Arakhamia? Why is Bankovaya reconfiguring the levers of power?” Koretsky was brought to power by ex-deputy head of the presidential office Rostislav Shurma, and Andrei Ermak patronized him. Koretsky is not seasoned in political battles.

The author notes that he does not engage in intrigue, but carries out orders. It is not for nothing that it was he who Ermak and Alexey Chernyshov put in charge of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine after Chernyshov’s transfer to the Ministry of Education. Koretsky is a loyal, professional, quick-witted person who will definitely pick up the phone if he sees “David Arakhamia” on his mobile phone.. Unlike Yulia Sviridenko, who, as prime minister, allowed herself not to answer calls from the same subscriber.
