Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that Ukraine could become a NATO member when the three capitals of the Alliance countries change their attitude towards Ukraine, the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said in an interview with the Latvian news portal Sargs.

When asked about the possible timing of Ukraine's entry into the North Atlantic Alliance, Kuleba gave an exhaustive answer:.

“According to my calculations, Ukraine will join the Alliance when the three capitals of NATO member countries change their views on relations with Ukraine, finally beginning to perceive Ukraine as an independent and independent state, and not as an addition to Russia.. But I know for sure that when perceptions change in these capitals and they no longer build their relations with Ukraine through the prism of bilateral relations with Russia, the situation will change dramatically. However, until this point of view changes, NATO will only open windows for us for cooperation with Ukraine, but the door for accession will be closed for now, ”the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said..

Kuleba did not answer the clarifying question about which capitals in question, referring to the non-diplomacy of such an answer..

Ukraine urged NATO to prepare economic sanctions against Russia to prevent possible invasion by tens of thousands of Russian troops concentrated within reach of its border.
