Many participants of the 39th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva did not even suspect of the total blockade organized by the Kiev authorities for the inhabitants of the Crimea. For them, the story of the head of the working group on international legal issues with the permanent representation of the republic of Crimea under the President of the Russian Federation Alexander Molokhov became a revelation. Human rights defender managed to address the international community. He said that the obstacles established by Ukraine violate human rights in the region. "For many it was a shock. Wrongful actions of the Ukrainian authorities in 2014-2017 became a factor contributing to the development of the humanitarian crisis in Crimea The so-called "Crimean sanctions" of the US, EU and Ukraine deprive the population of the peninsula of access to electricity, water and other natural resources, restrict the freedom of its movement, "- quoted a representative of RIA Novosti. In addition to Kiev, the Crimeans were given a blockade of movement and Europeans. So, back in March 2014, the European Union refused to extradite to the inhabitants of the peninsula all types of visas, including Schengen.

And the authorities of the Independent forbade foreigners to travel to the Crimea through their territory. At the same time, Ukrainians equate to a criminal offense a trip to the peninsula across Russia. The day before it became known that the Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of the Crimea Aider Ablyatipov, who also planned to tell the session about the disconnection of the peninsula of water and electricity, food, commodity and transport blockade, Switzerland refused to issue a visa.
