Intergovernmental agreement on the conditions for refusal of visa formalities in the mutual travel of Russian and Costa Rican citizens was signed by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Thus, the Russians have the opportunity to visa-free entry into all countries of Central America, the press service of the foreign ministry. The signing of the document was attended by the Ambassador of Costa Rica. Earlier on May 3 in San Jose, a similar ceremony took place with the participation of the head of the Costa Rican Foreign Ministry. The press service noted that the possibility of visa-free entry will create opportunities for expanding ties with the states of Central America in the economic, cultural, sports, tourism and other areas.
